What does the app cost?
That has not been decided yet. During the beta test through TestFlight, nothing is charged. As soon as there is a decision, it will be here. What does the app keep about me?
Riima collects nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no statistics. Which words you have marked as known and how often you have listened to an episode is kept in a file on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere. More in the privacy policy.Does the app work offline?
Yes. All episodes, texts and voices are on the device. The app does not open a connection to the internet on its own, not even in the background. You can listen in airplane mode. How are the voices made?
The voices in this app are AI-generated — no human is speaking. The texts and the images were made with AI as well. Every episode was proofread by hand and checked for accuracy before recording.Which courses can I listen to?
Spanish: ten of 94 episodes, 31 minutes. Italian: ten of 94 episodes, 31.6 minutes. English: three of 94 episodes; this course is taught from German only. Turkish: one of 94 episodes. Together that is 24 audible episodes with 71.1 minutes. Recording continues; the numbers here are measured, not estimated. Is there an Android version?
No. Riima exists for iPhone only, iOS 18 or later.Who is this not for?
Anyone who wants to move ahead quickly will grow impatient here: listening to the same episode many times is the core of the matter, not an extra. Anyone looking for a game or a conversation with an AI will find neither here. And anyone who already reads fluently will find too little — Riima is for beginners. How do I give feedback?
In the app’s settings there is “Send feedback”. It opens your mail app with a ready-made draft to hello@klatterico.de; it contains the version of the app and your iOS version. Nothing is sent before you tap “Send”. You can also write directly. More under Support. How do I get the app?
Riima is currently available as a beta through TestFlight, Apple’s service for test versions. The link on this website takes you to Apple. To take part you need the TestFlight app; your email address goes to Apple in the process. Can I change the base language?
Yes. On first launch the app reads your device’s language and takes English or German as the base language. You can change it at any time in the settings. The English course can be listened to from German only.
