Riima is currently a beta through TestFlight. Reports of errors, unclear passages or wishes are especially welcome in this phase. It helps if you write what you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
Notes on using the app
Tapping: a tap on a word means “I know this one”. The English underneath disappears.
Layers: three switches hide the literal English, the new language and the plain-English line one by one. Whatever you have hidden, you can show again at any time.
Speed: playback can be set from half to one and a half. The text follows along at every speed.
Loop: an episode can be repeated without you having to start it again.
Background: playback continues when you leave the app or lock the device.
Base language: on first launch the app reads your device’s language and takes English or German. You can change it in the settings. The English course can be listened to from German only.
Feedback from within the app
In the app’s settings there is “Send feedback”. It opens your mail app with a ready-made draft to hello@klatterico.de. It contains the version of the app and your iOS version. Nothing is sent before you tap “Send”.
How the texts, images and voices were made
The voices in this app are AI-generated — no human is speaking. The texts and the images were made with AI as well. Every episode was proofread by hand and checked for accuracy before recording.
If you still notice an error, in the text, in the translation or in the pronunciation, please write it in. It will be checked and fixed.
What the app keeps
Riima collects nothing about you. What you have marked as known and how often you have listened to an episode is kept in a file on your device, and only there. Everything else is in the privacy policy.
